How To Enjoy Golf

Man, golf can be painful.

I remember driving home after the Long Beach Open in like, 2010, and feeling like I should just give up. I put so much time, effort, and money into the game to just go out and miss the cut by a truckload of strokes.

Back then I think my self-worth was pretty much embedded in my golf results. Bad round, bad Sam.

In 2011 I met Jason Goldsmith, performance coach of Jason Day, Justin Rose and a whole slew of exceptional humans… It wasn’t until I met Jason that I started to learn how to truly enjoy golf and separate my self-worth from my golf shots.

Even though we never talked about that, I learned how to build intention, acceptance, and belief into my pre-shot routine.

This message, how to enjoy golf, is a summary of everything I’ve learned in regards to the performance and enjoyment of golf.

I truly hope you enjoy it and I hope it brings you more peace and joy on the course (and maybe off the course too ;)
